Tips on purchasing NBA tickets

With the NBA All-Stars coming up soon, iBeengo is here to give you some advice on how to purchase NBA tickets, so you may cheer on your favorite teams along with the local fans!

1. ebay: http://www.ebay.com/tickets (stubhub has been bought out by ebay, so ebay includes all the results from stubhub too)

If you have time to shop around for tickets, ebay is the best place to get cheap tickets. The seats in the photo is at row 2, and it was purchased for $110 USD + $10 shipping for two tickets! Although we were real close to the players, unfortunately none of them flew on to us during the game. Important reminder: Since the tickets are mailed to you, please do check the scheduling so you will get it in time.

2. NBA website @ http://www.nba.com/tickets/tickets.html.

This method is the most convenient and safest method to purchase a ticket. You will receive an e-ticket via email. The prices are fixed and not much discounts are available.

3. Ticketexchange @ http://www.ticketmaster.com/ticketexchange/

TicketExchange is another alternative to find safe and convenient tickets online. The tickets are sold directly by season ticket holders and you can print their e-tickets anytime, anywhere.

Prices vary for all NBA teams, and the difference can be stunning. It is recommended that you attend a game at a less popular team, where the tickets are cheaper. Check out the schedule and hope your favorite team will be playing against them during your visit. Of course there are also tradeoffs. At an expensive L.A. Lakers game, it is guaranteed that you will have a Class-A experience, because they spend loads of doe on the entrance/half-time presentations. So weigh the advantages and disadvantages, and set your budget that way. Be sure to plan early, so you may find bargains on eBay!

If you are into purchasing souvenirs for the game, be sure to go early, or else the lineups will be crazy. It is also great to drink some beer and enjoy the live-show, so remember to bring your IDs. In United States, you will have to be 21+ years old to purchase alcohol. One final tip, never drive your car. The traffic will be horrendous and the parking is ridiculously expensive! Take the public transit or a taxi, it will save you time and money.
