Not Afraid of heights? I CHALLENGE YOU!!

Remember the 2009 blockbuster movie "Avatar"? Remember the beautiful land of Pandora that James Cameron created? I'm not sure how many of you know this already, but the land Cameron created actually exists on Earth!! It is located in the Hunan province in China, called Zhangjiajie (張家界). Obviously we don't all have the military and economic power to take a helicopter to enjoy the magnificent view (maybe terrifying for the people who fear heights), but

fortunately, the Chinese government has built gondola lifts and a 330 meter high elevator allowing visitors to experience the beauty surrounding them.

However, if you are just there to take the gondola and follow the group tour, you will only see the tip of the iceberg. It is recommended for backpackers to explore the national park for at least one week. Although Zhangjiajie national park is filled with many tourists now, not everyone has the courage to ride the 1000 meter above sealevel gondola. From the gondola you will witness the mystical views portrayed in many Chinese martial art movies and Chinese art drawings.

Want to experience the view that usually only rock climbers experience? Now you can ride the Bailong Elevator without the need to spend 4 hours to climb to the same elevation. Built on one of the Zhangjiajie cliffs, rising up to 330 meters, the Bailong Elevator takes up to 3000 visitors a day. Although the Bailong Elevator makes it easy for all to enjoy the view, the existence of this man-made machinery destroys the overall natural surrounding beauty.
